As students return to school, cases go up

Covid-19 cases are going up in the United States since the return to school. 

According to the information in The Los Angeles Times, “in LAUSD schools as of September 16, there were 1,478 active cases detected by the district’s massive testing regimen.

According to the COVID-19 Testing School Report Card Here in Maywood Academy High School, 4 cases were found these past weeks since we have returned back to school. 

According to the New York Times, cases are increasing in the United States Such as California, Kentucky, New Jersey and Florida . In the beginning of August new cases were 22,894 and on a 7 day average there were 79,775 cases reported daily in the United States. Now that school started new cases now are 159,553 and 152,177 on a 7 day average (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/us/covid-cases.html).
