People around the world are still not vaccinated, and it’s been almost a year since the vaccine came out.
The reasons being (1) they’re worried about the side effects, (2) they believe covid-19 isn’t a big deal so they don’t see it as a threat, and (3) some people believe conspiracy theories about vaccines.
¨For some, the concern is the vaccine itself — and particularly the side effects that can come with it,¨ said German Lopez from Vox.com.
The second reason is groups of people also believe that COVID-19 isn’t a big deal and don’t see the need for a vaccine.
¨Even after the past year, some Americans still don’t see the coronavirus as a serious threat,¨ said German Lopez from Vox.com.
Another reason why some people haven’t received the vaccine is they believe in conspiracy theories like the vaccine having a microchip that´ll track them down.
¨One in five Americans believe that the U.S. government is using the vaccine to plant microchip tracking devices into people, the survey found,¨ said Newsweek.
