LAUSD finally made masks optional on March 23, 2022.

LAUSD sent emails to students and parents saying that they finally agreed with labor groups saying that all Los Angeles Unified schools no longer required masks, starting March 23, 2022.

Students and staff are feeling happy from receiving the LAUSD email.

“I think it’s a great move to let the students and staff make their own decision,” Catherine Van, a math teacher at Maywood Academy High School said. 

“Students being happy makes me happy,” Mark Root, an English teacher at Maywood Academy High School said.
