Maywood softball loses
April 27, 2022
Maywood Academy HS softball team played at home on April 18, 2022.
Bravo was coming in playing undefeated. Jadelly Ortiz, outfielder for MAHS, reacted.
“I feel really nervous because Bravo is really good,” Ortiz said.
The coach of the girls softball team shared what he expects for this season.
“I feel ready to experience this season. It is my first season coaching softball because I have previously coached basketball but I hope that I will get to learn from them and they learn from me,” coach Anthony Castro said. He is enthusiastic about coaching softball for his first year.
“I feel good. This is my first year coaching softball, so just like my team, I’m learning as well,” Castro said.
Maywood lost to Bravo with a final score being 20-1.
“We lost bad but to be fair, they are the top school right now,” Desiree Ramos, junior at MAHS said.
