During the game MAHS soccer boys were able to keep up to Torres with the first half of the game ending 2-2. After putting up a fight Maywood got scored on 4 more times during the second half of the game and ended in a 6-2 defeat.

Coach Rene Sanchez felt the defense was good, but they kept repeating small mistakes that led them to losing. “We were holding up great. The goals were simple mistakes that need to be readjusted at practice. It was only in the second half that they missed their game plan.”

Lack of players was an issue. “(This) season isn’t the best. The players need to be more committed and if there was more players it would be easier for them,” said Sanchez.
