Maywood Academy Wins the CIF LA City Section Division 4 Boys Basketball Championship Title With Half-Court Buzzer-Beater Shot

Maywood Academy beat Sun Valley Magnet with a score of 65-63 yesterday night at Granada Hills High School. The nerve-wrecking game ended dramatically with a buzzer-beater by #30 Brian Gracian.
With 3.6 seconds left on the clock, Rasheed Roman reached up for the rebound after a Sun Valley Magnet player missed his free throw shot. Soon after, at the 2 second mark, Roman passed the ball to Gracian. Gracian, being guarded by two Sun Valley players, shot from half-court and hit a buzzer-beater three pointer.
The Nighthawks and Nighthawk fans stormed the court in a wild celebration.
