Maywood Academy celebrated the boys’ championship with a pep rally on March 2nd, 2020 featuring the Maywood Academy band and color guard representing the boys basketball team. Maywood Academy students showed up to support the team. The team gathered up and took group pictures along with answering questions regarding the amazing moments and the crowd’s breathtaking reaction.

Brian Gracian is known for beating the buzzer in the boys basketball championships. “It felt great,”  said Gracian, “Rasheed…passed me the ball and I just shot it.”

Jair Ramirez, a junior and member of the basketball team, had winning hopes. “Go all the way. Winning state championships isn’t enough. If you can’t win, you take it as far as you can.”
