“History, Faith, and Reason show the way, the way of unity.”
Take: I connect with this quote because unity involves the history of the people, the faith they have, and the reason to be united no matter what.

Quote: “We can treat each other with dignity and respect.”
Take: I think this idea is important because we are all going through a hard time together, and we should understand one another and be there for each other through dignity and respect.

Quote:” This is America’s day, this is democracy’s day…”
Take: I think this quote is important because President Biden is telling us that starting today, America is going to start healing from everything from COVID to the storming of the capital.
Name: HERVIN TORREBLANCA

“My whole soul is in this, bringing America together, uniting our people…With unity we can do great things, important things…I know speaking of unity can sound to some like a foolish fantasy.”
Take: I think this quote is important because our new president is willing to bring our nation together. He believes that with unity we can accomplish anything. He also takes into consideration that some may not believe in uniting with one another. In the prior few weeks, we have seen chaos take place, but from what we can see President Biden is hopeful and believes in humanity.

“We can treat each other as neighbors with dignity and respect, we can join forces, stop the shouting and lower the temperature, without unity there is no peace, only bitterness and fury.”

“Democracy, and hope, truth and justice, did not die on our watch but thrive.”
I think this idea is important because there has been a mess ever since the presidential election started with the votes and it would be good to see democracy grow vigorously.

Quote: “To overcome these challenges, to restore the soul and secure the future of America…”

Quote: “Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal, that we are all created equal, and the harsh ugly reality that racism, nativism and fear that has torn us apart.”
Take: I find “our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal, that we are all created equal” significant because in the world today people of color (POCs) have to deal with a constant struggle/fear of getting in some type of trouble with no one to help them. It is something that hasn’t changed over time and is only getting worse as time passes by. For example, looking into last year when we had Black Lives Matter protest, most people considered them not peaceful, but they just wanted to be treated fairly and make a change.

“The American story depends not on any of us, not on some of us, but on all of us.”
This quote applies to my community because we all need to come together and try to make our country better. One person can only do so much but many can get things done. To right wrongs is something we all need to come together to improve on.

“Today we celebrate the triumph not of a candidate but of a cause, a cause of democracy.”
I reside with this quote because I think the country is split up more than ever. I think we need to start working as one nation and fight for what we believe in. We need to protect this nation from the real enemies.

“…much to repair, much to replace, much to heal, and much gain…”
My take on this is that there is a lot of fixing in America so now a lot can be replaced, healed, and gained with our new president.

“Through civil war,the Great depression, world war, 9/11, through struggle, sacrifice, and setback, our better angels have always prevailed.”
This quote applies in my community now because we all have gone through some hardships–some more than others, and although we suffered, we still remain and continue to stay strong.

“This is America’s day. This is democracy’s day. A day of history and hope, of renewal and resolve.”
This Quote is important Because its showing that Biden cares about us . Biden said that to show that he will be the best president start to this day and he will make sure everyone will not suffer to covid-19. Biden wants all students to go back to school and for us to live in a better life .
