Are you ready to go back to school?

Students have been back on campus for over four weeks now. The question is, do students want to return to in-person classes rather than staying with online learning? We have asked students these three questions to get an insight on what they think.
- “Have you or any of your normal routines changed since online learning?”
- “Do you wish to go back to in-person classes?”
- “Are you mentally ready to go back to in-person school?”

“Have you or any of your normal routines changed since online learning?”
“Yes, my routines changed because now everything is online like school. I couldn’t see my friends or kick it with my friends. I could enjoy my senior year.”
“Do you wish to go back to in-person classes?”
“tbh(to be honest), it’s too quick to do it, I’ll just stay online.”
“Are you mentally ready to go back to in-person school?”
“I am mentally ready but don’t want to risk covid so stay home”
Maywood Academy HS Senior, Amy Villegas
“Have you or any of your normal routines changed since online learning?”
“Yes, a lot actually. From my sleeping schedule to when I wake up and what I do throughout the day.”
“Do you wish to go back to in-person classes?”
“I honestly do want to go back because I miss the school experience and my friends”
“Are you mentally

ready to go back to in-person school?”
“I do believe I’m mentally prepared to go back to school because in person school helps me better with understanding the work and easier for me to ask teachers questions.”
Maywood Academy HS Senior and yearbook student Anthony Aguila
“Have you or any of your normal routines changed since online learning?”
“I’ve changed a lot during this pandemic, being able not to hangout with friends has made me sad, at the fact I can’t go out with them and mad at this pandemic for keeping me indoors.”
“Do you wish to go back to in-person classes”
“I don’t feel like I’m ready to go back to school because of the risk of getting covid and this scares me even more because of family and friends getting covid.”
“Are you mentally ready to go back to in-person school?”
“Same answer as the one before”
Maywood Academy HS Senior, Rocio Jimenez;
“Have you or any of your normal routines changed since online learning?”
“Yes, before I’d wake up and get ready for school and go with my day & now I just wake up and try to go to my classes online and most of the time, I feel unmotivated.”
“Do you wish to go back to in-person classes”
“I do wish to go back to school because I miss interacting with my friends and teachers and it was better to get a hold of my teachers if you had any questions compared to now.”
“Are you mentally ready to go back to in-person school?”
“Mentally I think I am ready to go back to school, it’d be better for me because I wouldn’t feel as unmotivated as I do now.”
